Learning Opportunities

Working remotely during the pandemic?  Ready to learn something new and network with interesting people?

Many organizations are taking advantage of the stay at home orders to offer online education/training programs.  Normally, a lot of this training would be offered in person, requiring travel and accommodations driving up the expenses, but now we have the opportunity to participate from wherever we are in the world.  Check out some of the really great learning opportunities available online:

  • The International Centre for Co-operative Management at Saint Mary’s University is offering a variety of programs including Masters programs, graduate diplomas, and certificates as well as short Executive Education programs.  Be sure to visit their website to learn more about the various opportunities that await you.
  • The Gathering, held annually in Winnipeg, is moving online!  With the theme of “Community Building in Times of Crisis and Change” from December 1 – 4, 2020 you can log on to zoom and learn, share and participate for as much or as little as you are able to.  Check out the Gathering website for more updates and news about the great line-up in store
  • If you are looking for some international learning opportunities, why not check out the Co-op Academy.  Put on by the International Cooperative Alliance, the Academy offers a variety sessions, with the next one coming up on November 27 with the topic of “The cooperative model: intermediary for eco-innovation and sustainable development”.
