Co-op Impact Program
The Co-operators is once again supporting small and medium-sized cooperatives to adapt and thrive through the pandemic. Through their Co-op Impact Program eligible cooperatives can apply for low interest loans (between $40,000 – $100,000) to support project and initiatives will help them adapt to emerging needs in challenging times. Learning Opportunities
Working remotely during the pandemic? Ready to learn something new and network with interesting people?
- Many organizations are taking advantage of the stay at home orders to offer online education/training programs. Normally, a lot of this training would be offered in person, requiring travel and accommodations driving up the expenses, but now we have the opportunity to participate from wherever we are in the world. Check out some of the really great learning opportunities available online The International Centre for Co-operative Management at Saint Mary’s University is offering a variety of programs including Masters programs, graduate diplomas, and certificates as well as short Executive Education programs. Be sure to visit their website to learn more about the various opportunities that await you.
- On December 16, the Canadian Centre for Study of Co-operatives at the University of Saskatchewan is presenting their Sixth Annual MacPherson Talk – “Beyond Co-operation: The Power of Business as a Force for Good”. For more information and to register visit the event website.
- The Canadian Worker Co-op Federation is offering “What is a Worker Co-op?” sessions as a precursor to their new Parcours COOP training program. If you are interested in worker co-ops be sure the check out these exciting learning opportunities.
